From hide to hand
How a Hendwerkes piece is made
Four steps, hours of work, and the same hands from the first cut to the final check.
-
01Step 1
Cutting
Each strap is measured and cut from a single hide, following the grain so it wears evenly.
-
02Step 2
Stitching
Channels and edges are stitched with strong waxed thread — line by line, by hand.
-
03Step 3
Burnishing
Edges are sanded and burnished until they are smooth, sealed and comfortable on the shoulder.
-
04Step 4
Finishing
The Hendwerkes mark is debossed, the leather conditioned, and every piece checked before it leaves.
Made by hand. Made to last.
From the first cut to the final check, the same hands care for your piece.
